Advisor Spotlight – Greg W. Davis, CFP®, CTFA
The Clearwater Capital Advisory team is at the core of our firm’s value proposition. Working with successful individuals and families from all walks of life, our advisors provide tailored solutions informed by close trusted relationships.
Often these relationships become enduring friendships that span many decades. This is especially true for Greg Davis who has been a Wall Street professional for 35 years. Greg’s deep care for his client’s and their loved ones has made him a trusted advisor, a respected expert, and an integral member of the Clearwater Team.
Greg graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. During his final semester he studied International Finance in Vienna, and loved Austria so much that he became a Foreign Exchange Broker with Eurowien, Inc. working in Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary.
Greg returned to the United States having gained incredible experience in the international capital markets. He became a Vice President and Assistant Chief Dealer with Banc One in Chicago and would go on to earn an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. Once completed, Greg made the decision to move from the foreign exchange markets to help individual clients navigate the complexities of wealth management.
Joining JP Morgan’s Private Client Group, Greg found the profession he was made for when he became a Senior Trust Advisor serving individual clients and their families. Committed to delivering the highest possible value to his clients, he studied to earn the Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation while at JP Morgan, and also became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®).
Today, Greg is a Partner of Clearwater Capital Partners and an active member of his community. For over a decade, he has been a Board member and chaired various committees for Bridge Youth and Family Services. He currently serves as co-President of the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council where he has been a long-term member.
Greg has been married to his lovely wife Marina for over 30 years and they have four wonderful children. They love to travel, play golf, and go on walks with their beloved dog, Audree. One of Greg’s lesser-known talents is found in the kitchen where he makes amazing Hungarian dishes which he learned while living in Budapest.
Greg is one of those special people who changes lives for the better. He is incredibly caring, kind, and always determined to help others. We are very proud to regard Greg as a true friend and a most valued Partner of Clearwater Capital Partners.
