James joined Clearwater Capital Partners in 2014 and has spent more than a decade helping shape the firm’s approach to serving successful individuals, families, and foundations. As Senior Wealth Advisor and Chief Innovation Officer, he advises entrepreneurs, inheritors, medical professionals, and retirees on integrated planning, lifetime income strategies, and multi-generational family office needs, while leading strategic initiatives that modernize the firm’s technology and client experience. His recognition by Forbes as a top Next Gen Wealth Advisor in Illinois further reflects his commitment to advancing Clearwater’s mission and delivering thoughtful guidance to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.
In addition to his work with Clearwater Capital Partners, James has demonstrated a strong commitment to community impact through his leadership with the Clearwater Capital Foundation. He served a two-year term as Executive Director, concluding in 2023, and currently serves as Chairman of the Clearwater Capital Foundation Supercar Show. One of the largest events of its kind in Illinois,the event has raised just under 300,000 dollars cumulatively for its three beneficiary organizations across its first five years. James also serves on the board of the Chicago-based A Giving Heart Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding research on congenital heart disease.
James will continue to serve as the firm’s Chief Innovation Officer and as Senior Wealth Advisor to high-net-worth families.
