Manager, Compliance and Operations
Ty Sampson is the Manager of Compliance and Operations at Clearwater Capital Partners, where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional client service. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to enhancing the client experience, Ty collaborates with our team to optimize processes and uphold the highest compliance standards.
Ty joined Clearwater with two years of experience directing operations and compliance at a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Dallas, TX, where he spearheaded the formation of a firm overseeing over $500 million in assets under management. His background also includes a 12-year career in college athletics, during which he served in administrative and operational capacities across three Division I men’s basketball programs. During his tenure, Ty was responsible for various aspects of athletic development, including capital projects, fundraising, branding, financial aid, and recruiting. His leadership contributed to his teams advancing to the NCAA Tournament eight times, including two Sweet 16 appearances and one Elite 8 finish. In recognition of his achievements, Ty was honored with a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team in 2020.
Ty holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
Ty is a travel enthusiast with an adventurous spirit. He dreams of visiting Antarctica and one day reaching the South Pole. When he’s not planning his next expedition, you might find him on the golf course, proudly playing with a 22 handicap.
